Cloak

In rejection of the current style of designer mirrors, whereby a reflective surface is placed inside a sculptural perimeter, Cloak pursues a more cohesive object where the sculpture is one with the reflective surface. Through past work involving bending and forming sheet metal, Benjamin drew parallels to working with fabric. Conceptualized as a garment, the Cloak Mirror draws on steel's ability to take form, blend seamlessly with textile manufacturing techniques, and all the while preform its duty as a free standing functioning mirror.
